Published

on

As reported by EW, Suntup Editions has announced a re-issue of Stephen King’s Misery (one of the legendary author’s most prescient novels) with three high-end editions of the classic 1987 novel that’ll surely blow your mind… and drain your bank account.

First up is the “Artist Gift Edition,” which will be selling for $110. It includes a dust jacket with art from Rick Berry, and it’s also going to come signed by Berry.

The “Numbered Edition” is housed inside of a custom clamshell box and comes signed by both Berry and Stephen King, and will be selling for $525. That particular edition is limited to just 200 copies, with the first 185 numbered in black; the remaining 15 are numbered in red and are for private distribution.

Finally, the “Lettered Edition” will run you a whopping $3,950, and only 26 hardcore King fans will be able to get their hands on it. The most deluxe edition of the re-release is again signed by Berry and King, but what makes it extra special is that it’s hand-bound in full leather, featuring a title embossed with six keys from a Royal typewriter.

Furthermore, it comes in a custom walnut wood box.

Pre-orders begin February 12, with publication scheduled for August 8. Be sure to head over to EW for more details and check out Suntup’s website while you’re at it.

‘Reconcile’ – Bruce Campbell Just Published His Own Western Novella

Published

on

Bruce Campbell is back this year with his brand new movie Ernie & Emma touring the country, and the horror legend has also written a brand new novella that’s now available to read.

Available now as an eBook and paperback, New York Times Bestselling Author Bruce Campbell’s Reconcile sees Campbell putting his own spin on the classic Western genre.

Campbell explains, “My mother, Joanne, loved the Western genre. She read every Zane Grey novel he ever wrote. I know because I drew stick-figure cartoons in the margins of her massive paperback collection. Westerns, by nature, are riddled with clichés – the steely-eyed, unshaven hero protecting innocent pioneers from brutal, unforgiving savages. With Reconcile, I tried to sidestep many of the cliché elements we’ve read or seen in Westerns for a generation.”

“Reality isn’t tidy or reliable,” Campbell continues. “Reality has unpleasant circumstances that don’t always resolve themselves like they do in the movies. In the heat of battle, the “good guys” and “bad guys” aren’t so easily defined. In the sprawling history of the American West, I’d like to think a different kind of story was possible, and I hope you enjoy it.”

You can purchase your copy of the 116-page, self-published novella now.
