While we wait for director Jon Turteltaub’s The Meg, releasing this August, now is the perfect time to either revisit or read, for the very first time, the novel that the film is an adaptation of. That’d be author Steve Alten‘s Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror, originally published in July 1997. Now that it’s been 20 years, an anniversary edition is on the way.
Alten just put up for pre-order the 20th anniversary edition of Meg, now titled The Meg, which serves as a tie-in with the movie. The new art, in fact, is the movie’s kickass poster.
Only 1,700 of these bad boys are going to be printed, and they come signed by Alten, as well as numbered. The books even include the prequel, Meg: Origins.
Grab one over on Alten’s website and expect it in May-early June.
