Back in 2017, Cemetery Dance published the novel Gwendy’s Button Box, which was written by the duo of Stephen King and Richard Chizmar. King is not returning to co-write the sequel, EW reports today, but he has given his blessing to Chizmar for the follow-up solo venture.
Titled Gwendy’s Magic Feather, the sequel picks up 25 years after the first novel.
In Gwendy’s Button Box, a 12-year-old girl receives a gift from a strange man in a black hat: a mystical box with various buttons that dispenses good fortune to its user while unleashing calamities elsewhere. Gwendy’s Magic Feather revisits Gwendy Peterson 25 years later.
The sequel will feature a foreword by Stephen King.
