The continuing adventures of the gross-out Garbage Pail Kids will be told in a series of books, EW reveals, which will be penned by none other than kid-friendly horror master R.L. Stine!
Welcome to Smellville will kick off a three-book deal Stine has inked with Abrams’ Children’s Books, the first in a middle-grade series based on the cards from The Topps Company.
EW details, “In Stine’s vision, the Garbage Pail Kids are gross and weird and strange, but they’re not bad kids — they just don’t know any better. Welcome to Smellville introduces Adam Bomb, Brainy Janie, Junkfood John, and Nervous Rex as they get into mischief, battling bullies and their archenemies, the Perfects.”
