Rising scribe Daniel Casey (10 Cloverfield Lane) has been brought on board to work on Incognito, Sony’s adaptation of the comic by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips, writes THR.
Fede Alvarez, who directed this summer’s hit Don’t Breathe as well as Ghost House’s Evil Dead remake, is attached to helm the thriller that is being produced by Chernin Entertainment.
Initially published as a six-issue miniseries by Marvel’s creator-owned Icon Comics imprint, “The protagonist is Zack Overkill, a ruthless villain who is powered by super strength. He is caught and rats out his boss, The Black Death. He goes into witness protection. He’s given a drug to dull his powers and takes a normal guy job as delivering the mail. By the time he discovers that messing with certain drugs restores his power, he has developed something of a conscience. He becomes a vigilante and soon, his exploits become known to The Black Death, who is out for revenge.”
Casey wrote the sci-fi thriller Kin, which is set to begin production later this month with James Franco and Jack Reynor starring and Shawn Levy producing.
