Junji Ito, the Japanese manga artist behind creepy gems such as Uzumaki and Tomie, adapted Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein back in the 1990s, as part of the sixteenth volume in the Horror World of Junji Ito series. It was originally published in Japan in three parts from 1994 to 1998, with the collected edition first published in 1998.
Viz Media announced this week that they’ll be releasing the collected Frankenstein: Junji Ito Story Collection this coming October!
