The “Stranger Things” empire is growing later this year with the start of a line of novels based on the hit Netflix series, and we also just learned that Telltale is developing a video game set in the world of Hawkins, Indiana. While we wait for the show’s third season, EW now informs us that an official comic book series is on the way!
Dark Horse Comics has partnered with Netflix for “a multi-year publishing line,” kicking off with a 4-issue mini-series that’s headed our way on September 26.
EW details, “The series will explore the adventures of Will Byers after he was transported to the horrific extra-dimensional Upside Down at the beginning of season 1. Viewers only saw Will reappear in that season’s finale when he was finally found by his mother Joyce, but obviously a lot happened in the interim. This four-issue Stranger Things miniseries — written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Stefano Martino, inked by Keith Champagne, colored by Lauren Affe, and lettered by Nate Piekos — will finally give fans a look at what happened to Will in the Upside Down.”
