20th Century Fox released their R-rated Deadpool sequel this past May and have just now surprised us all by announcing an untitled Deadpool-themed film that will arrive just in time for this coming Christmas, on December 21, 2018.
It’s unknown what this secret Deadpool movie will be, but star Ryan Reynolds teased some sort of Princess Bride inspiration. While speculating has got us all burned in the past, maybe this could be their way of releasing New Mutants, the adaptation of the comic book in which Deadpool first appeared? It’s the only known Fox Marvel movie in the can (that’s not X-Men) as of this writing.
[UPDATE] Deadline is reporting that Fox is releasing a PG-13 edit of Deadpool 2, which allegedly will star Fred Savage in a narrator role. More info as is comes in.
