With “The Boys” being Amazon’s highest-rated original series on IMDb (read our review), production is already underway on the comic adaptation’s second season.
Showrunner Eric Kripke, who has been sharing tons of photos from set on his Twitter page, revealed that Patton Oswalt has been cast in a surprise role.
While nothing has been revealed, one of the best speculations is that Oswalt could be appearing as The Legend, a man who knows all of the supes dirty secrets and uses his inside info as blackmail against them.
Now streaming through Amazon Prime, “The Boys” (based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson) puts a bold, fresh and bloody new spin on the superhero genre, centered on a group of vigilantes who set out to take down corrupt superheroes. And in the world of “The Boys,” well, let’s just say these particular superheroes are total assholes.
