Okay, I’ll drop the whole Army of Darkness bit but we really are part of an amazing contest that has some incredibly cool prizing! Let me break it down for you, shall I?
US doom band Windhand is teaming up with Bloody-Disgusting, Relapse Records, MetalSucks, and Grey Matter Art to give three fans the chance to create and design a movie poster for the upcoming Halloween-themed “Two Urns” music video that the band will be premiering just in time for Halloween.
There will be three winners total, one grand prize winner and two runner ups. Prizing includes $200 cash, t-shirts from the band, MetalSucks, and Bloody-Disgusting, concert tickets, Grief’s Infernal Flower on CD and LP, and more!
The “Two Urns” video description reads:
It’s Halloween, 1987. Four best friends are out trick-or-treating on their BMXs. Four older bullies in a muscle car have an appetite for something more sinister than candy.
The rules and prizing are described below.
“Two Urns” comes from the band’s upcoming album Grief’s Infernal Flower, which comes out September 18th. You can pre-order your copy here.

RULES:
- Design should be limited to 5-6 colors
- Image submissions must be posted to Windhand’s Facebook page with the hashtag #WindhandTwoUrns OR posted on Instagram with the hashtag #WindhandTwoUrns. Instagram posts should also make sure to tag the band at @windhand to be considered for submission.
- Including credits into design is optional
- All artwork must be submitted by 11:59 PM EDT on October 1st, 2015
