Bloody Disgusting is excited to announce today they will be hosting an early screening of Evil Dead Rise right here in Chicago!
Join “Bloody Bites” and Skeletons in the Closet‘s Tony Wash on Thursday, April 6th for an extremely early screening of the latest Evil Dead at Showplace ICON at Roosevelt Collection (1011 S. Delano Court East, Chicago, IL 60605, 312-386-7440). The screening takes place at 7 PM, but make sure to arrive early as seats aren’t guaranteed.
*Bring your pass with you to the event. IDs will be checked at the door. Pass must be used by passholder.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Evil Dead Rise…
“In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”
Director Lee Cronin’s (The Hole in the Ground) Evil Dead Rise is coming exclusively to theaters on April 21, 2023. Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence), Morgan Davies (The End), and Nell Fisher (Splendid Isolation) star alongside Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan.
Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert are producing Evil Dead Rise. According to Campbell, the three have been “very involved” in the project every step of the way.

Odeya Rush (Goosebumps) fights her way through an eclectic cast that includes Sasha Lane (Twisters), Elias Kacavas (“Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Zión Moreno (“Gossip Girl”), Benjamin Norris (“Never Have I Ever”), Tyler Alvarez (“American Vandal”), Kirby Johnson (The Possession of Hannah Grace), Ellen Toland, Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction), and Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).
Aaron Fisher (Inside the Rain) directs from a script he co-wrote with Kerri Lee Romeo. Uri Singer (White Noise, Experimenter) produces via Passage Pictures.
Gary J. Tunnicliffe (Scream 4, Candyman) handled the film’s special makeup effects.
