We all have plenty of titles that we revisit every October, but what are the special ones that you save just for October 31st? For me, it's easily Halloween and Trick 'r Treat. Halloween III: Season of the Witch and WNUF Halloween Special are ones I might sneak in there if I have time, but those first two are required October 31 viewing!

All of those! Now with my kids we made a tradition around watching Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice until they're old enough for the rest.

What a great question. I find myself creating a viewing list for October. Movies I return to for Halloween are Halloween and Halloween 2, Night of the Demons, Trick 'r Treat, WNUF Halloween Special, Dark Night of the Scarecrow, and Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost.

I bet you will see Idle hands on this list many times. I already made my October rewatch list so I won't add it again here :)

When I’m handing out candy to the children, I’m usually dressed up as Michael Myers and I have the projector set up in my garage playing either Halloween or The Shining. Sometimes both. And yes, I get compliments and complaints about it every year.

Trick 'r Treat - Absolutely and every year. Sometimes the original Halloween. Aside from those, I usually try to watch new or never-before-seen Halloween-based flicks.

Trick 'r Treat -- a pretty much perfect balance of scary and fun. Disney's Legend of Sleepy Hollow -- despite being a cartoon, it's really a perfectly told ghost story.

I used to watch WNUF every October 31, but since there's so little narrative, I've pivoted to putting it on at parties or with friends hanging out, such a great movie for the "vibes" you can check in and out of!

I already made a list called "31 creepy treats for Halloween" excluding the obvious choices. But one I didn't include there but very much enjoy is Hellions. A weird surprise.

My personal absolute must watch films for Halloween are The Evil Dead (1981), Halloween (1978), Halloween 2 (1981), Phantasm (1979), House of the Devil (2009) and Hell House LLC to get some modern stuff thrown in there. I have a list of my profile as well that outlines more must watch movies. :)

Phantasm, House of the Devil and Hell House LLC are excellent additions to my ever growing Halloween Watch List.

There are a ton of films I rewatch during Halloween season during October to help get me in the mood, but the ones that standout are Halloween 1+2, The Fog, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Night of the Living Dead.
