Sexy [INSERT ANYTHING HERE]
Women, it’s perfectly fine that you want to feel attractive and beautiful. And showing off your body? Go right ahead. It’s yours and you can do with it what you want. Those aren’t my issues. What irritates me the most about this type of costume is just how goddamn lazy it is!
“Hey, I like that one character from that one film. I’ll take it and make it sexy!”
Really? Is that seriously the best you can come up with? There are countless characters from countless mediums, many of whom are great examples of tough, competent, strong women. Why take that and then “sexy-fy” it up?
The “sexy costume” is beyond played out. Be creative and make something that is memorable, that makes people want to know about your passion and not your…ahem…assets.
