SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING BY ALAN MOORE, STEPHEN BISSETTE & JOHN TOTLEBEN
This is a classic, and one that defies the tests of time and remains stellar throughout it’s entire run. Alan Moore masterfully redefines the titles character in “Saga of the Swamp Thing” with two men who became synonymous with horror art in comics. If you’re unfamiliar I recommend the first volume of the run, as it deals with body horror in a way no comic has done before or since. It’s an existentialist look at what it means to really become something else, how part of you dies, and how what remains is something new, good or bad. I can’t recommend this one enough, especially if you’ve never had the chance, pick up any single issue of the run, and prepare to have chills run down your spine. It’s that good. For fans of anything…
