Primus. What a weird fucking band. Absolutely insane music that shouldn’t work and yet it does. I don’t know why I love this band but goddammit I do.
Because I don’t get to talk about them nearly enough on BD, I wanted to feature their music video for “Mr. Krinkle”, which comes from their 1993 album Pork Soda. The video is a one-take shot and shows Les Claypool dressed as a pig in a business suit playing a standup bass. In the background are tons of different entertainers, from slave drivers to girls jumping rope, fire breathers to contortionists. It’s just a crazy video that makes little to no sense and yet, as a result, is absolutely perfect for Primus.
