Carlos – Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare
This movie falls squarely under the “comedy horror” subgenre and everyone knows it. That being said, I find it to be pretty damn entertaining and it has this really strange atmosphere about it that none of the other films quite captured.
But as far as kills in this film go, it’s hard to top Carlos and his Scanners-esque head explosion!
The reason I chose this particular one is because the sound of Freddy’s glove is almost as famous as he is. It’s a sound that sends shivers up and down the spines of people every single time it’s played. Seeing Freddy use his gloves on a chalkboard was something that made us all squirm uncomfortably. It’s an incredibly creative way to take something so iconic about this character and actually use it in a physical, destructive manner.
