Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
In terms of sheer absurdity, I don’t think any Friday film has this one beat. Let’s run down this list, shall we?
- First of all, not a single person in New York City even cares about a filthy hockey mask wearing psychopath chasing two people, not even in the middle of Times Square.
Secondly, a sewer system that spews toxic waste at regular intervals? Who in their right mind actually believes that’s a thing???
And lastly, Jason starts vomiting ungodly amounts of blue milk before said toxic waste washes over him. Anyone know where that shit came from? Anyone??
And yet, even with its completely unbelievable series of events, it’s absolutely hilarious. I can’t tell you the number of times my friends and I have burst out laughing at this scene. I think I’ve actually laughed so hard that I cried.
