Hard rock band Drowning Pool are known for one of the most famous anthemic songs of our generation, “Let The Bodies Hit The Floor”. And if you stop and think about it, what better song is there for balls-to-the-wall horror films?
That’s why it comes as no surprise that vocalist Jasen Moreno is a huge fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead. And what better way for Moreno to show his love of the show than to let BD know his thoughts on the latest episode! Having read it, I can say that it doesn’t seem to contain any spoilers, so you’re safe giving it a read below.
The band is about to embark on a US tour alongside Adrenaline Mob and Full Devil Jacket. Each date will see them perform their platinum-selling debut album Sinner, which came out 13 years ago. The full touring schedule can be seen below.
Additionally, the band has opened up an Indiegogo page to raise $13,000 in the name of original vocalist Dave Williams, who passed away from the heart disease cardiomyopathy. All money will be donated to the American Heart Association to raise awareness of the disease and fund further research. Donations can be made here.
Moreno’s take on The Walking Dead:
Interesting how TWD has made us so suspicious. The episode had me worried they were giving up.They have a strong group. Badass group! Why make friends? Screw playing nice. Hell yeah take that place. The old ways are long gone. Kill everyone then start a metal band. Also could’ve done without the obligatory shower scene lolol. I cried when I cut my hair too tho. I cheered when Glen handled that ass. Hey, doesn’t Deanna remind y’all of that captain from Star Trek voyager? I know they’re different actresses. Still it’s difficult to fear her. I would’ve preferred 7 of 9 🙂 Needless to say I get the setup. Pacing and all that but get on with it already!
