This created one of the most iconic zombies in the genre’s history. To this day, the scene where zombies are pawing and scratching at the elevator door and it opens to reveal a zombie Stephen is just fantastic. It was one of those, “Oh shit…” moments that solidified the fact that everything had seriously gone to hell.
