Will Sampson – June 3, 1987
Sampson had a wide variety of roles over the course of his career, but us horror fans know him as Taylor (the medicine man) from Poltergiest II. Sampson suffered from scleroderma, and died from kidney failure after an attempted heart and lung transplant. Reportedly, Sampson performed an exorcism on the set (on a night after shooting had completed) due to the fact that real skeletons were being used.
