The Terminator franchise has had its ups and downs, to be certain. The series started out with two incredible films, some even arguing that the sequel surpassed the original in all ways. Regardless of your thoughts on that topic, it can’t really be argued that the series then took a bit of a dive with T3 and Terminator: Salvation. They’re not bad films, per say, but they definitely lack the intensity and magic that the first two films brought forth.
Another reason the series began its downward trend was that the storyline became increasingly confusing.
