While I think Norman Reedus is a fun and enjoyable actor to watch, I can’t for the life of me understand why people go absolutely nuts for his character Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead“. He’s rude, barely has any depth to speak of, and basically goes through the same motions every episode. Also, the fact that he’s become some kind of super scout with beyond impeccable aim that is also unkillable makes every scene he’s in feel safe. “Oh, Daryl’s there? Whatever. Things’ll be fine.”
But I can’t deny the love that many people have for him. Seriously, the show could probably get away with killing Rick off if they made Daryl the main character. That’s how rabid the Daryl fans are. After all, remember the whole, “If Daryl dies, we riot!” thing? Sheesh…
