It’s no secret that director Tim Burton was one of the most wildly inventive and imaginative directors during the 80’s and 90’s. Films like Batman, Beetljuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Sleep Hollow gave us films with a very specific visual style, one that delighted in exaggerating the atmosphere of any given scene, amplifying it in surreal and twisted yet utterly delightful ways.
I grew up loving his films, although I’ve been disappointed with nearly everything post-2000. That being said, I can’t deny how important his works were to me in terms of recognizing creativity and doing something “different”.
When I saw this quiz, I immediately got a smile on my face because I tried to envision myself as Beetlejuice, Batman, or even Pee Wee. You know, one of those early characters that’s so unique and interesting that you can’t help but love them!
