Bayonetta 2

Bayonetta 2 being a Wii U exclusive is one of the most puzzling things that has ever happened in the history of video games. It is very mature, but it’s also incredibly fun and one of the best games out there on any system. Bayonetta follows a foul-mouthed witch whose clothes are made up of her hair that also comes off of her body to morph into giant boots, fists or monsters that assault enemies. It’s even more ridiculous that it sounds. While the $65 price tag may seem a bit steep, keep in mind that the first Bayonetta comes included with the game (on its own disc too!).

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

This is the only legitimate horror game to be released on the Wii U this year, and it’s only available as a download from the Nintendo eShop. The good thing about this game is that it actually makes decent use of the GamePad, which is something many Wii U games have yet to do. While it’s not a perfect game, it’s dripping with atmosphere and one of the creepiest games you’ll find on the Wii U.
