We live in an age where it’s now easy to talk to people without using words. And no, I’m not talking about sign language or anything like that. I’m talking about the ease in which we can send pictures, GIFs, and emojis, all of which can be used to convey our exact feelings and emotions. Trust me when I say I abuse this privilege greatly, as Tom, Adam, and Brad can attest to.
But while emojis might be good at conveying our immediate feeling, such as sadness, glee, anger, or even lust, are they really meant to tell longer, more in-depth stories? I personally think they can, if a little bit of imagination comes into play. After all, Jordan Peele absolutely nailed The Shining with this incredibly inventive tweet.
