“Wolf Creek” Kill of the Week: Weapon of Choice (Clip)

Published

on

Every Monday for the next six weeks (10/17 – 11/21) Bloody Disgusting will bring you an exclusive “Wolf Creek” Kill of the Week – a look at our favorite brutal kill from the latest episode of the brand new “Wolf Creek” mini-series. Wolf Creek airs Fridays at 10:00 PM ET/PT exclusively on Pop.

If you missed this past Friday’s premiere of “Wolf Creek” we’ve got you covered…well covered if what you’re looking to see is a brutal triple murder. Our ole pal Mick Taylor is back and he’s up to his usually tricks. Unfortunately this vacationing family doesn’t suspect a thing, perhaps because bowie knives are so quiet, and they become the latest victims in his long string of slayings.

“The story of Wolf Creek begins when an American family is on holiday in Northern Australia and becomes the unsuspecting prey of Mick Taylor, a sadistic serial killer who hunts and kills tourists in the Outback. The sole survivor is Eve Thorogood, a college student, who vows to bring the killer to justice or die in the attempt. Wolf Creek reveals her complex and extraordinary journey, traveling every step of the way as she evolves from child to adult, from prey to predator. But can she triumph over Mick Taylor, evil incarnate?”

The next shark attack horror movie swimming our way this Summer is The Bay from Brainstorm Media, and Bloody Disgusting is exclusively debuting the official trailer today.

Francesca Eastwood (M.F.A., Clawfoot) stars in The Bay, which will notably feature an animatronic shark that’s been created by SFX and animatronics company Bischoff’s.

In writer/director Phil Volken’s The Bay, “When their tour boat sinks in a shark sanctuary, two best friends must fight for survival to escape the shark-infested waters.”

The film will be opening in theaters and on demand on July 17, 2026.

Alexander Wraith, Dani Oliveros, and Ta’imua also star.

Phil Volken said in a statement, “I’ve made several films set on the open sea, and The Bay is the culmination of my experiences to date – with my crack team of regular collaborators, the movie is finely and expertly honed to maximize the combined fears of the ocean, the unknown, sharks and ultimately, just how cold-blooded nature can be – specifically human nature.”

“I’m delighted with the scale and performances we’ve delivered onscreen,” Volken continues. “The Bay’s going to completely immerse and terrify audiences worldwide!”

Phil Volken has indeed carved out a niche directing open sea-based movies over the years, including the thriller Extortion back in 2017 and the horror movie Dead Sea just last year.
