Exciting ‘Don’t Knock Twice’ Clip Fights off an Invisible Entity (Exclusive)
Bloody Disgusting has the exclusive clip from Don’t Knock Twice, directed by Caradog James, now on VOD platforms through IFC Midnight.
Luiz reviewed the film, which stars genre fav Katee Sackhoff (Oculus, Riddick, Battlestar Galactica), calling it “a charming and well-crafted thriller.”
“Don’t Knock Twice follows a guilt-ridden mother (Sackhoff) who wants to reconnect with the daughter (Boynton) she was forced to place into care. To save her estranged daughter, she has to uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.”
The footage shows Sackoff trying to save her daughter from getting pulled through a door by an unseen entity.
Also featured are Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter, Ballet Shoes, Mo) and Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). James (The Machine, Little White Lies) directed from a script by writing duo Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler, whose credits include Howl. The film is produced by Red & Black Films’ John Giwa-Amu (The Machine, The Call Up) and Seymour Films’ Claire Moorsom.
Here’s the trailer that carries a lot of cool footage, but unlike most of its ilk, there are no spoilers. What you should need to know is that Don’t Knock Twice has some absolutely freakish visuals, including unbelievable effects work that make the witch come to life. If you’ve felt robbed of seeing the witch in other films, this one is going to deliver the goods in spades.
