In U.S. and UK theaters this coming Friday, March 24th, Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.
In this exclusive featurette, the filmmakers and stars, including Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds, explain the origin story of Life, which has nothing to do with Venom.
Ironically, Rebecca Ferguson nearly nabbed the lead role in Ridley Scott Alien: Covenant, in theaters this May, before taking on her role in Life. Hiroyuki Sanada, Ariyon Bakare, and Olga Dihovichnaya also star.
