Fans of trippy horror are going to love this new music video.
Produced by Kevin Antreassian (guitarist of Dillinger Escape Plan), New Jersey psych-doom-rock outfit Super Snake just released the twelve-track album Leap Of Love this past February, and today we’re incredibly thrilled to exclusively debut their new music video for the track ‘Lavish Sum of Dread.’
The video is a psychedelic trip to another dimension, loaded with really cool visuals; and not surprisingly, it was inspired by (among other things) the work of David Lynch!
“The director, Luke Brereton, Jesse Mariani (bass) and myself all share a common love for David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, and the Twilight Zone,” vocalist Jerry Jones told us. “This video is an homage to all of that I suppose. We wanted to make something that you could sink your teeth into so we shot it like a short film. My favorite music videos have always contained something of a plot and presented itself as a short film.”
He continued, “We also wanted something that was self aware and disorienting at the same time. So we made the paranoid alien abduction video.”
