[Trailer] Slender Man-Esque ‘Flay’ Finally Getting Released on November 17th
Eric Pham‘s horror fantasy Flay, which was caught in a legal struggle over Sony’s release of Slender Man, is finally getting released in limited theaters and on VOD platforms November 17th, and Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive look at the trailer.
Pham, who is known for his special effects work on Grindhouse and Sin City directs a cast including Violett Beane (The Flash) and Phantasm star A. Michael Baldwin, plus Elle LaMont (Alita: Battle Angel, Machete Kills), Dalton Gray (Lazer Team, Dumber and Dumber To), with Johnny Walter, Aaron Spivey-Sorrells, Peggy Schott, Kaylee King and Noe de la Garza.
The story follows an estranged daughter who, after the death of her mother, struggles to save her brother and those around her from a malevolent faceless spirit.
Filmed in Austin, Texas, Flay was the Official Selection at the West Coast Film Awards and won Best Horror at the Nosferatu Awards.

When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
