Exclusive ‘Sator’ Clip Has an Encounter With a Demon [Video]
After you’ve suffered, he will find you.
Meredith Borders reviewed the horror film Sator at the Telluride Horror Show last October, you may recall, awarding the film 3.5/5 stars and calling it “a dark and strange singular vision.”
Meredith also wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “It’s scary and sleepy and utterly strange, a dusky little dream of a film that no one on earth could make but Jordan Graham. Can we say that about most films, that only one person alive could make them? That uncommon, unrepeatable vision is what gives Sator its dark magic.”
Now on VOD platforms, Bloody Disgusting has a spoiler-y exclusive clip that reveals the big encounter between the main character and demon.
In the film…
“Secluded in a desolate forest home to little more than the decaying remnants of the past, a broken family is further torn apart by a mysterious death. Adam, guided by a pervasive sense of dread, hunts for answers only to learn that they are not alone; an insidious presence by the name of Sator has been observing his family, subtly influencing all of them for years in an attempt to claim them.”
“Sator is quite personal to me,” says Graham. “It delves into my family’s dark history with mental illness surrounding a supernatural entity, and uses home video footage to create an interwoven piece between documentary and fiction.”
For years generations of his family, including his grandmother, have claimed to make contact with a mysterious presence by the name of Sator, and the film features her own haunting accounts of contact.
The cast includes Michael Daniel, Aurora Lowe, Gabriel Nicholson, and Rachel Johnson alongside Graham’s late grandmother, June Peterson.

New Documentaries Explore the Cult Legacies of ‘The Keep’ and ‘Wolfen’; Watch the Trailers Now [Exclusive]
Undersung werewolf gem Wolfen and Michael Mann’s The Keep get the spotlight in a pair of feature documentaries acquired by Antenna Releasing.
A World War II Fairy Tale, which covers the infamous production of and reception to The Keep, will receive a limited theatrical release in October, followed by a TVOD release on Apple/Amazon. The Keep will also screen as a double feature for some showings.
For Uncovering Wolfen, Antenna eyes a limited theatrical release for 2027. Both films are currently available for booking via Antenna prior to their theatrical and digital releases.
Both documentaries are directed by Stewart Buck, who co-helms with Stéphane Piter on A World War II Fairy Tale.
“We at Antenna are obsessed with film history,” said Chief Acquisitions Officer Billy Ray Brewton. “Stewart has done such a remarkable job of really diving into the deepest recesses of how these films were made and, in doing so, has created the definitive histories of both projects.”

Released in 1983, Michael Mann’s The Keep was a notorious box office bomb, critically lambasted and all but forgotten for years, save for the fascination with Tangerine Dream’s iconic score. In recent years, the film has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence and is widely considered a cult classic, though director Michael Mann and many cast members refuse to acknowledge it.
Wolfen, on the other hand, was critical success but was overshadowed heavily by its flashier 1981 siblings An American Werewolf in London and The Howling. It’s also a trailblazer for socio-political horror, and the doc will explore that via the craftspeople who made it.
