‘The Tomorrow War’ Featurette: Go Behind the Scenes of Amazon’s Awesome Sci-Fi Action “Horror” Film [Exclusive]
Horror fans won’t want to miss The Tomorrow War, a brand new Amazon Original that’s a hot mix of everything from Terminator to Cloverfield and even James Cameron’s Aliens.
Already streaming on Amazon Prime, Chris McKay directs this excellent sci-fi action horror mashup that puts a new spin on time travel, sending humans from the past to the future to fight a war against an alien species ravaging Earth.
Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive featurette from the film that shows the behind-the-scenes making of this action spectacle, also teasing the “white spike” aliens that rip the humans to shreds.
The cast is eclectic, featuring everyone from Jurassic World‘s Chris Pratt to “Dexter” star Yvonne Strahovski and Sam Richardson, who can be seen in the new horror-comedy Werewolves Within. The Hunt‘s Betty Gilpin also stars, but doesn’t get the role she deserves.
“In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.”
Daniel Roebuck has been cast as Santa Claus in Terrifier 3, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report.
Writer-director Damien Leone is currently wrapping production on the highly-anticipated sequel, in which Art the Clown unleashes chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
“I’ve been holding this secret for a long time!” Roebuck tells Bloody Disgusting. “I’ve been really excited about it. I’m actually entering into the movies that I watch. It’s extraordinary. This is Terrifier bigger, badder, best.”
Roebuck appears in Terrifier 3 alongside returning cast members David Howard Thornton, Lauren LaVera, Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullam, and AEW superstar Chris Jericho.
No stranger to iconic horror properties, Roebuck has squared off against Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, played The Count in Zombie’s The Munsters, succumbed to The Tall Man’s sphere in Phantasm: Ravager, and investigated death in Final Destination.
A distinguished character actor with over 250 credits, Roebuck has also appeared in The Devil’s Rejects, 3 from Hell, Bubba Ho-Tep, John Dies at the End, The Fugitive, Lost, Agent Cody Banks, and The Man in the High Castle. Incidentally, he’s also playing Santa in the family drama Saint Nick of Bethlehem, due out later this year.
Terrifier 3 will be released in theaters nationwide later this year via Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting in conjunction with our partner on Terrifier 2, Iconic Events Releasing.
