‘Bad CGI Gator’ – Poster for Full Moon’s Upcoming Gory Horror Comedy Promises to Deliver on its Title [Exclusive]

Published

on

Animal attack creature features are often marred by bad CGI, but what if that becomes the central conceit for a satirical horror feature? Expect Full Moon Features to lean into it in a massive way in the upcoming gory horror comedy Bad CGI Gator.

Bloody Disgusting can exclusively reveal the poster for the creature feature. Something tells us that Bad CGI Gator will more than live up to its title.

The tongue-in-cheek tagline, “Terror, rendered too cheaply…” says it all.

The official synopsis: “Six college grads on spring break get a cabin in the swamplands of Georgia. Once there, they decide to throw their school laptops in a backyard lake in an act of youthful defiance, which unknowingly turns a lurking alligator into the dreaded and insatiable… BAD CGI GATOR!”

Bad CGI Gator was written by Zalman Band and directed by Danny Draven (Weedjies: Halloweed Night).

Producer Charles Band said, “I’ve long been against the overuse of CGI in genre films, and in many ways, this movie is a fun, tongue-in-cheek antidote to that. When done right, CGI is a great tool to accent special effects. When done wrong…well, we get BAD CGI GATOR! Get ready!”

What kind of madness is in store when the bad CGI is an intentional, plot-driven choice? With Full Moon behind it, all signs point to Bad CGI Gator delivering complete and utter chaos.

Full Moon is prepping this gory satirical horror comedy to shoot in Georgia next month, with the release set for October. Stay tuned for further details on this creature feature romp as they arrive.
