We have an exclusive first look at genre icon Doug Jones (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth) as Sheriff Alan in the slasher House of Holloway.

Production recently wrapped in Kentucky on the indie horror film, which also stars Laura Marano (The Perfect Date), Orlando Piñeda (“Griselda”) and Bonnie Aarons (The Nun).

It follows a family of serial killers playing a twisted psychological game, competing with each other to claim the next victim from among six guests staying at their secluded home, slowly revealing the secrets of their family legacy.

Alex Kahuam (Failure!) directs from a script he co-wrote with producing partner Anthony Pallino.

“I grew up watching Doug Jones in maestro Guillermo del Toro’s films, so it is a tremendous honor to work with him for the second time,” Kahuam tells Bloody Disgusting. “He is a truly versatile actor and a wonderful human being. In House of Holloway, Doug plays a very peculiar sheriff with complex, shifting emotions. Horror fans prepare for a ‘vibe’ — that is all I will say for now.”

Kahuam produces via his Kahuam Films alongside Pallino’s production shingle 22 Black Productions and Alan Luna. Executive producers include Marano, Jared Prudoff-Smith, and Catchlight Capital.

Kahuam’s other upcoming projects include The Remedy, a supernatural horror film also featuring Jones due out this year, and Stay with Me, described as “It Follows on steroids,” which is expected to enter production in late 2026.
