Bloody Disgusting can exclusively reveal that, this fall, Titan Books and author Janine Pipe will release Event Horizon: The Making of the Classic Film, a new and “fully authorized” account of how Event Horizon came to life that hopes to be the definitive volume on the film’s production and lasting legacy. Featuring never-before-seen archival material and interviews with the cast and crew, the book promises to shed new light on the making of a 1990s cult classic.

Released to critical and commercial disappointment in 1997, director Paul W.S. Anderson’s film has since built a loyal following through the home video and streaming markets. It’s become one of the definitive 1990s horror films to pass along to friends who’ve never seen it, and now Pipe’s new book, building on her experience researching the making of movies like Dog Soldiers and The Descent, will unveil new layers in the dark story of a rescue and recovery mission gone horribly wrong.
