Millennium Entertainment is proud to announce that audiences can take home the gothic thriller, Stonehearst Asylum (review), on DVD and Blu-Ray December 16, 2014.
Directed by Brad Anderson (Transsiberian, The Machinist, The Call), the haunting film features the all-star cast of Kate Beckinsale (Pearl Harbor, Underworld, Total Recall), Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe, 21, One Day, Upside Down), Academy Award winner Michael Caine (Hannah and Her Sisters, The Dark Knight, Inception) and Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Shutter Island, Iron Man 3).
“When young doctor Edward Newgate (Sturgess) arrives at Stonehearst Asylum in search of an apprenticeship, he is warmly welcomed by superintendent Dr. Lamb (Kingsley) and a mesmerizing woman by the name of Eliza Graves (Beckinsale). Edward is intrigued by Lamb’s modern methods of treating the insane until a series of unusual events leads him to make a horrifying discovery, exposing Lamb’s utopia and pushing Edward to the limits of his conscience.
