Eastern Eye is gearing up to release Haemoo, the directorial debut from Shim Sung-bo, on region 4 DVD on September 15, 2015. Co-written and produced by Bong Joon-ho, Haemoo stars Kim Yoon-seok, Park Yoochun, Lee Hee-joon, Moon Sung-keun, Kim Sang-ho, Yoo Seung-mok, Han Ye-ri, Jung In-gi and Kim Young-woong.
This release will be in Korean with English subtitles.
Synopsis:
Down on their luck, a commercial fishing vessel takes on a cargo of thirty illegal immigrants and attempts to smuggle them from China to Korea. However, the crew and immigrants are put in danger when they encounter heavy storms, fog and the Marine Police. Produced and Co-written by Bong Joon-ho, director of ‘Snowpiercer’ and ‘The Host,’ ‘Haemoo (Sea Fog)’ is a tense thriller based on the true tragic tale.
