Shout Factory Gets ‘Submerged’ This May
A limousine joyride goes berserk in Steven C. Miller’s (Under The Bed, Aggression Scale) “breathless, pulse-pounding thriller” Submerged. Said to be an anxiety-inducing film, it will make its Blu-ray and DVD debut May 3rd, 2016, from Scream Factory, in conjunction with IFC Midnight. “A limousine joyride goes berserk in this breathless, pulse-pounding thriller. Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) stars as an ex-soldier turned bodyguard hired to protect a young woman. But while cruising with a group of friends one night, their stretch limo is run off the road and underwater by a gang of ruthless kidnappers—who then dive in to finish the job. Suddenly it’s sink or swim, as the bodyguard must fight to keep the vehicle from becoming a watery grave.”
It also stars Cody Christian (TV’sTeen Wolf), Talulah Riley (Thor: The Dark World), Rosa Salazar (Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials), Tim Daly (Diner) and Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City).
Submerged was written by Scott Milam (Mother’s Day).
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton’s sci-fi movie Mars Attacks!, and IGN has announced this afternoon that the film is being celebrated with a brand new 4K release.
When can you expect it? IGN reports, “Mars Attacks! will be available for purchase digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc on August 11, 2026.”
