Blue Underground Presents the ‘Killer Thrillers Collection’

Published

on

On July 26th Blue Underground will be releasing a 3-disc collection of films on Blu-ray entitled the Killer Thrillers Collection. The three films making the set are Baba Yaga, Night Train Murders and Strip Nude for your Killer. This is a re-release of sorts. All three films have previously been released by Blue Underground on Blu-ray but they are now packaging them together in one set. You may recall they did something similar last year when they released The Dario Argento Collection and The Lucio Fulci Collection, both of which made my Best Blu-ray Releases of 2015 List.

If you already own these film from Blue Underground on Blu-ray, then there will be no point in picking this up. The films are exactly the same, including the same special features (of which there are plenty!), they’re just now packaged together. If you don’t own the films, however, this set could be perfect for you! The list price on this set is $39.98, but I am pretty confident in saying places like Amazon and Target will have this for quite a bit cheaper once it becomes available for pre-order. Both Amazon and Target currently have the Fulcio and Argento collections at about $23. Assuming retailers carry this new set at that same price point, this will be  a hell of a deal.

For some bizarre reason that I can’t possibly explain I currently own none of these movies. So I’m pretty stoked about this set! Check out the full details below!

BABA YAGA:
Legendary sex symbol Carroll Baker stars as a mysterious sorceress with an undying hunger for sensual ecstasy and unspeakable torture. But when she casts a spell over a beautiful young fashion photographer (the gorgeous Isabelle De Funès), Milan’s most luscious models are sucked into a nightmare world of lesbian seduction and shocking sadism. Are these carnal crimes the result of one woman’s forbidden fantasies or is this the depraved curse of the devil witch known as BABA YAGA?

BABA YAGA Extras:
• Farina & Valentina – Interview with Co-Writer/Director Corrado Farina
• Freud in Color – Guido Crepax Documentary
• Deleted and Censored Scenes
• Theatrical Trailer
• Poster & Still Gallery
• Comic Book-to-Film Comparison

NIGHT TRAIN MURDERS:
It was released as SECOND HOUSE ON THE LEFT, NEW HOUSE ON THE LEFT, and TORTURE TRAIN. The ads screamed, “Most movies last less than two hours! This is one of everlasting torment!” It remains one of the most graphically fiendish films in exploitation history, the story of two teenage girls traveling through Europe, forced into a nightmare of sexual assault and sadistic violence.

NIGHT TRAIN MURDERS Extras:
• Riding the Night Train – Interview with Co-Writer/Director Aldo Lado
• U.S. Trailer
• International Trailer
• Radio Spots
• Poster & Still Gallery

STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER:
The stunning Edwige Fenech stars in this infamous shocker that packs more grisly violence and sexual depravity into each frame than most any other film in the entire giallo genre. There’s succulent flesh aplenty as a mysterious killer dressed in black leather and wearing a motorcycle helmet begins butchering beautiful young fashion models with no mercy and one deranged request: STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER!

STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER Extras:
• Strip Nude For Your Giallo – Interviews with Actress Solvi Stubing and Co-Writer Massimo Felisatti
• International Trailer
• Italian Trailer
• Poster & Still Gallery
