The Games Begin in a Pair of ‘Fear Inc.’ Clips

Fear, Inc.

Here’s a pair of new clips from meta horror/comedy Fear Inc. (read our review), which is now on VOD platforms via Electric Entertainment.

When horror movie enthusiast Joe Foster (Lucas Neff) and his girlfriend, Lindsey Gains (Caitlin Stasey), are handed a business card for such a company, Joe’s curiosity gets the best of him. As the Fear, Inc experience seemingly begins, scares start popping up right out of Joe’s favorite horror movies, quickly turning him into a kid in a candy store. If the kid was a self righteous thirty year old and the candy store was the prop room from SAW. After a friend explains the company’s dangerous reputation, his rollercoaster of a journey goes from light hearted fun to uncomfortably realistic as things take a major turn for the worse. Joe’s sense of reality spirals out of control as he’s forced to take responsibility for his actions, no matter the cost.

Abigail Breslin – a genre veteran who has starred in Signs, Zombieland, The Call and Maggie – is featured with Lucas Neff (Raising Hope), Caitlin Stasey (All Cheerleaders Die, CW’s Reign), Chris Marquette (Freddy vs Jason, Alpha Dog), Stephanie Drake (Mad Men), Mark Moses, Eric Lange (Lost, Nightcrawler), Leslie Jordan (American Horror Story, Will&Grace), Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story), Ronnie Gene Blevins (The Dark Knight Rises, True Detective), Ashlynn Yennie (The Human Centipede I&II), Patrick Renna (The Sandlot), Richard Riehle (Office Space), David Ury (31, Breaking Bad).

Our exclusive clip gives a nod to A Nightmare On Elm Street, while also setting the stage for the game that “Fear, Inc.” is playing.

Get ready for double the fun, protagonists, and body count when Ready or Not 2: Here I Come explodes on streaming next week.

Just in time for the fireworks, the sequel makes its streaming debut on Hulu and Disney+ on July 2.

Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett are back, along with Samara Weaving, for more hide and slay mayhem.

Picking up moments after the all-out attack from the Le Domas family in the first Ready or Not movie, Grace (Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.

That means a higher body count and even more explosive carnage. Just how much? A whopping 325 gallons worth, the directors previously told BD.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, David Cronenberg, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne also star.

I wrote in my review for Bloody Disgusting, “More is more in Ready or Not 2. Bigger stakes, larger playing field, a higher (and more gruesome) body count, and even double the protagonists. It’s all designed to deliver maximum crowd-pleasing fun.”

The horror-comedy sequel is written by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.
