Here’s a new PSA for safe sex…

Jonathan Straiton’s splatterfest Night of Something Strange is now on iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, GooglePlay and Vimeo on Demand from Hurricane Bridge Entertainment. You can pre-order the Blu-ray at the official website.

Five teenage friends set out for the beach on their Spring Break vacation. Good times are cut short when one of the group, Carrie, contracts a deadly sexual transmitted disease during a bathroom stop. When they stop for the night at an isolated motel, the real terror begins when the STD virus starts running rampant, turning those infected into the living dead. However, there’s more going on at the motel than meets the eye.

Co-written and directed by Jonathan Straiton (Blood Red President’s, Big Fish in Middlesex) also co-written and executive produced by Ron Bonk (She Kills,Clay), the pic stars Trey Harrison (AMC’s Turn, Meg Ryan’s Ithaca), Wayne W Johnson (Star Trek New Voyages, Tales of Dracula) Nicola Fiore ( Slaughter Daughter , Sociopathia) Michael Merchant (ID’s Wicked Attraction, Science Team) David Meadows (Captain Phillips, Imperium) Kera O’Bryon (Plan 9, Loophole) and famed “Scream Queen” Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama).

Night of Something Strange made it’s world premiere at the Phoenix Film Festival April 8th where it took home “Best Horror Feature Film.” The film went onto receive top honors at the world’s most notable horror film festivals such as Crimson Screen, TromaDance, HorrorHound, Scare-A-Con, PUFF, Nightmares, Freak Show, Puerto Rico Fear Fest, NYC Horror and FrightFest.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
