Each week here at Bloody Disgusting we like to highlight some of the new Blu-ray releases hitting shelves across the world. Please note that this isn’t every release for the week, just a few of the ones that jumped out at us.

Wonderful, wonderful week of releases! Stateside we’ve got a bunch of new releases Kino Lorber that are all must-owns! Teen Witch, A Game of Death and Lifeboat lead the way. Not to be outdone, Scream Factory has a handful of awesome releases out this week including Robocop 2 & Robocop 3, which both look gorgeous. Over in the UK 88 Films are the big winners this week giving us Syndicate Sadists, Aenigma and 2019: After the Fall of New York. That’s new Lenzi, new Fulci and new Martino all in one week. I will forever be in debt to 88 Films!

US Releases

Frankenstein Created Bikers (Big World Pictures, Region A)

Synopsis:
A resurrected outlaw biker finds himself addicted to the substance that brought him back from the grave. In order to get his daily fix, his gang is forced to do the bidding of two sadistic scientists attempting to capture a biological mutation and perform a human head transplant on kidnapped teenagers. When his disgruntled ex-girlfriend is released from prison, she embarks on an explosive manhunt for her former lover and his strung-out pack of degenerates. With three dysfunctional bounty hunters, a rival motorcycle gang and an army of machine-gun toting strippers, it becomes a race against law-enforcement for bragging rights to the gang leader’s demise.

Evolution (Scream Factory, Region A)

Synopsis:
The only residents of young Nicholas’s seaside town are women and boys. When he sees a dead body in the ocean one day, he begins to question his existence and surroundings. Why must he, and all the other boys, be hospitalised?

Teen Witch (Kino Lorber, Region A)

Synopsis:
A sweet young teenage girl wants to get the most popular boy in school to notice her, but how? All the hair-dos and hip clothes in the world don’t work. It may just take some of that old black magic to get him ‘neath her spell.

Assassin’s Creed (Fox, Region A)

Synopsis:
When Callum Lynch explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin, he discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society.

Multiple Maniacs (Criterion, Region A)

Synopsis:
Bent on ridding society of it’s most boring element, suburbanites, Divine and company tour under the guise of Lady Divine’s Cavalcade of Perversions, a not-so-elaborate ruse to lure in the most complacent element of the population and slaughter them en masse.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: The Complete Third Season (Warner Archive, Region A)

Synopsis:
Batman isn’t going at it alone this time! Our caped crusader is teamed up with heroes from across the DC Universe, delivering nonstop action and adventure with a touch of comic relief. Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman and countless others will get a chance to uphold justice alongside Batman. Though still based in Gotham, Batman will frequently find himself outside city limits, facing situations that are both unfamiliar and exhilarating. With formidable foes around every corner, Batman will still rely on his stealth, resourcefulness and limitless supply of cool gadgets to bring justice home.

Invisible Ghost (Kino Lorber, Region A)

Synopsis:
Mr. Kessler is a doctor driven to murder by the ghost of his faithless wife. When the “phantom” appears, it pushes Dr. Kessler into a maniacal rage that can only be quenched with violence. As the corpses pile up, the doctor begins a hunt for the culprit, unaware that he has committed the murders himself while in a hypnotic trance. A villainous twist exposes the truth about the ghost, the killings and the insanity…

A Game of Death (Kino Lorber, Region A)

Synopsis:
A remake of Richard Connell’s famous short story, “The Most Dangerous Game,” about a madman who hunts human prey on his personal island habitat.

Chamber of Horrors (Kino Lorber, Region A)

Synopsis:
When the wealthy Lord Selford dies, he is entombed with a valuable collection of jewels. Seven keys are required to unlock the tomb and release the treasure, but a series of mysterious events cause them to be scattered. The Canadian heiress to the Selford fortune attempts to unravel the circumstances, but she and her fellow investigators find themselves caught in a terrifying web of deceit, torture and murder.

Dakota (Kino Lorber, Region A)

Synopsis:
In 1871 Dakota, two crooked businessmen oppose the local wheat farmers and the railroad development, in order to control the town of Fargo.

Lifeboat (Kino Lorber, Region A)

Synopsis:
After their ship is sunk in the Atlantic by Germans, eight people are stranded in a lifeboat. Their problems are further compounded when they pick up a ninth passenger — the Nazi captain from the U-boat that torpedoed them. With powerful suspense and emotion, this legendary classic reveals the strengths and frailties of individuals under extraordinary duress.

RoboCop 2 (Scream Factory, Region A)

Synopsis:
When Detroit’s decent into chaos is further compounded by a police department strike and a new designer drug called “Nuke,” only RoboCop can stop the mayhem. But in his way are an evil corporation that profits from Motor City crime and a bigger and tougher cyborg with a deadly directive: Take out RoboCop. Containing the latest gadgetry and weaponry as well as the brain of the madman who designed “Nuke,” this new cyborg isn’t just more sophisticated than his predecessor…he’s psychotic and out of control! And it’s going to take everything RoboCop has – maybe even his life – to save Detroit from complete and utter anarchy.

RoboCop 3 (Scream Factory, Region A)

Synopsis:
When the ruthless corporation that runs Motor City begins kicking families out of their homes to clear space for a profitable new real estate project, RoboCop (Robert John Burke, Cop Land) joins forces with a renegade band of freedom fighters to save them. But RoboCop must face some deadly foes, including a lethally efficient android and a dangerous gang of thugs. RoboCop’s latest arsenal of high-tech weaponry only somewhat evens the battlefield, as this lone superhero takes on the entire army of corporate militia in an all-out war to control Detroit!

Dead or Alive Trilogy (Arrow, Region B)

Synopsis:
In Tokyo’s crime ridden Shinjuku district, emotionally and financially bankrupt Detective Jojima plays referee in a gangland turf war pitting the Japanese Yakuza Mafia against a bloodthirsty band of Chinese immigrant gangsters. But Jojima’s obligation to his terminally ill daughter and ruthless Chinese mobster Ryuichi’s sentimental devotion to his ersatz family of misfit assassins threatens to add their own corpses to the landslide of fresh bodies littering Tokyo.

Syndicate Sadists (88 Films, Region B)

Synopsis:
A biker’s brother is killed while investigating the kidnapping of a young boy, the byproduct of a war between two crime families. The biker vows to get revenge by finding the kidnapped boy and destroying the two families.

Aenigma (88 Films, Region B)

Synopsis:
The spirit of a comatose teenage girl possesses the body of a newcomer to her girls boarding school to enact bloody revenge against the elitist, lingerie-clad coeds responsible for her condition.

House: The Complete Collection (Arrow, Region B)

Synopsis:
Roger Cobb is a Vietnam vet whose career as a horror novelist has taken a turn for the worse when his son Jimmy mysteriously disappears while visiting his aunt’s house. Roger’s search for Jimmy destroys his marriage and his writing career. The sudden death of his aunt brings Roger back to the house where his nightmares began. The evil zombies in the house force Roger to endure a harrowing journey into his past.

Fright Night (Eureka, Region B)

Synopsis:
For young Charley Brewster, nothing could be better than an old horror movie late at night. Two men move in next door, and for Charley with his horror movie experience, there can be no doubt that their strange behavior is explained by the fact that they are a vampire and his undead day guardian. The only one who can help him hunt them down is a washed-up actor, Peter Vincent, who hosts Charley’s favorite TV show, Fright Night. Vincent doesn’t really believe that vampires exist, but does it for the money…

Pieces (Arrow, Region B)

Synopsis:
Young co-eds are being cut up by a chainsaw killer on a college campus. The killer is attempting to put together a human jigsaw puzzle made from body parts.

2019: After the Fall of New York (88 Films, Region B)

Synopsis:
After a nuclear war, society breaks down into two groups, the evil Euraks and the rebel Federation. A mercenary named Parsifal is hired by the Federation to infiltrate New York City, which is controlled by the Euraks, to rescue the only fertile woman left on Earth.

Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (88 Films, Region B)

Synopsis:
Soon after a childless couple adopts a pair of orphaned brothers, it becomes alarmingly clear the boys are much more than they seem! With the immense power to hypnotize schoolmates into mindless followers and destroy any adult opposition, the younger boy continues the frightening campaign of terror that began in Children of the Corn! But there is one person – the brave older brother – who can possibly stop the relentless destruction, setting up a final showdown between the powers of good and evil.

Jack the Ripper (Network, Region B)

Synopsis:
During the latter half of 1888 a notorious serial killer nicknamed Jack The Ripper terrorises the East End of London by murdering prostitutes in a terribly violent way. Public outrage follows. Inspector Frederick Abberline is assigned to the case but finds that it is not just a simple murder enquiry. Based on a real life event, this film claims to have had access to top secret Home Office files and believe that their ending is the correct solution to the age old mystery.
