Well, I guess we’re buying this movie yet again.
Not long after Scream Factory recently released their Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of John Carpenter’s The Thing, boasting a new 2K scan of the inter-positive that was supervised and approved by director of photography Dean Cundey, we learned that Arrow Video was working on their own release of the 1982 film.
As it turns out, it’s a full-on 4K restoration!
Arrow announced over on their Facebook page today that their 4K restoration of The Thing is underway, sharing an image that whet horror fan appetites in a big way. No word yet on the special features that will be included, but the new restoration is more than enough to make this one exciting.
Can never have too many copies of The Thing, am I right?!
