New to Blu-ray

Each week here at Bloody Disgusting we like to highlight some of the new Blu-ray releases hitting shelves across the world. Please note that this isn’t every release for the week, just a few of the ones that jumped out at us.

A little late on New to Blu this week and only doing US releases as a result of that, but it’s ok because there were some incredible US releases this week! If you’re looking for something new I recommended 47 Meters, a surprisingly tense shark attack flick. If you’re looking for something a little more classic, well then this is the week for you! Kino Lorber has given us SpaceCamp and The Long Riders, Scream Factory has blessed us with A Quiet Place in the Country and After Midnight. Not to be outdone by Scream and Kino, the fine folks of Vinegar Syndromeoffering up some Ed Wood goodness with Orgy of the Dead while also giving us the utter chaos that is Psychos in Love. The trophy this week though, that belongs to Severin Films and their release of Fulci’s The Devil’s Honey! Not bad for one week!

After the trio moves in, Jesse’s work starts taking on a new, considerably darker flavour – and things get even more ominous when Ray, the hulking, clearly unbalanced son of the deceased former owners, appears on the doorstep one night, clutching a red electric guitar and asking to “return home.” It soon becomes clear that Ray and Jesse are both being influenced by the same satanic forces, and that Jesse’s family won’t be safe until they find a way to quiet the Devil himself.
