Two of the best horror films of all time. Beautiful new 4K restorations.
Criterion Collection is kicking off 2018 in style, they’ve just announced, with brand spankin’ new Blu-ray releases of both George A. Romero’s seminal zombie classic Night of the Living Dead and Jonathan Demme’s Academy Award winning The Silence of the Lambs. Both Blu-rays (and DVDs) will arrive on February 13, 2018.

- New 4K digital restoration, supervised by director George A. Romero, coscreenwriter John A. Russo, sound engineer Gary R. Streiner, and producer Russell W. Streiner

Over one month later, Scary Movie is still playing in theaters and still making money, with the franchise’s brand new installment slashing into $224.5 million at the worldwide box office.
In fact, the Scary Movie franchise has now collectively passed $1 billion in theaters!
Scary Movie is headed to Digital at home soon, and a listing on Amazon this week indicates that the film will be making its way to Blu-ray and DVD this coming September.
The film is listed for DVD and Blu-ray release on September 22, 2026.
