More John Carpenter Films Getting Scream Factory Steelbook Blu-rays!

Published

on

This past summer, Scream Factory re-released The Fog, They Live and Escape from New York in limited edition Steelbook packaging, which left fans wondering if other Carpenter films would follow suit. The good news? More are indeed coming!

Scream Factory announced today that due to the success of those three releases, Assault on Precinct 13 and Prince of Darkness will next be getting Steelbook Blu-rays!

Only 10,000 of each will be produced, set for release on March 27, 2018.

The company notes:

  • The artwork you see pictured on both come to us from by artist Nathanael Marsh (who also conceived the designs for the last steelbook round). If you order directly from our site, your packaging will also include a 28.5” x 16.5” rolled lithograph of the illustrations. The litho will not be available through any other retailer and only 1,000 of them are being made.
  • Steelbooks will be shrinkwrapped. The Blu-rays included inside will have the same content (but with different disc label art) that is currently available in their respective Collector Edition releases.
  • To our overseas fans, we regret to inform that we only have US & Canadian territory rights for these films so will be unable to ship internationally from our site unfortunately.

Check out the new art for both below and head over to Scream Factory’s website to pre-order Assault on Precinct 13 and Prince of Darkness and get them 2 weeks early!

The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
