Last year we shared the first-ever look at Pinnacle Films’ Australian sci-fi Occupation, which harkened back to Predator. Now, Saban Films has acquired Luke Sparke’s science fiction thriller for release here in the States.
The previously shared first trailer reminds me of the Spierig brothers’ Undead. While a lot of the CGI is low-budget and questionable, it works perfectly into the wild footage that looks impressively directed.
In the film, “A small group of town residents band together after a devastating ground invasion. As they struggle to survive, they realize they must stay one step ahead of their attackers, and work together for a chance to strike back.”
