Classic Slasher ‘Alice, Sweet Alice’ Restored for First Ever Blu-ray Release

If you want to watch 1975’s Alice, Sweet Alice, it’s currently available for instant streaming through Amazon Prime. But if you want to own it, your only option at this time is to pick it up on DVD. That changes this July thanks to the UK’s 88 Films.

As part of their Slasher Classics Collection, 88 Films will be giving Alice, Sweet Alice its Blu-ray debut on July 9, with audio and video restored from a 35mm print.

“When ten-year-old Karen (Brooke Shields – in her first screen appearance) is killed in church on the occasion of her first communion, her seemingly innocent older sister Alice (Paula Sheppard) becomes the prime suspect. Matters become complicated as more of Alice’s family members are attacked, along with residents of her apartment building. Can a twelve-year-old girl be capable of such mayhem, or is someone else with a vicious plan destroying her family?”
