Here in the United States, Candyman is weirdly not yet available on Blu-ray, which is surprising given that even the most obscure genre films have been getting deluxe Blu-ray releases in recent years. But hold your horses, says iconic star Tony Todd, because a brand new Blu-ray of one of the best ’90s horror films is coming soon!
Over on Twitter yesterday, Todd teased…
“Wait for the new 4k restoration of #Candyman w/off screen commentary w/@BernardJMRose coming soon.”
Todd of course played the title character in director Bernard Rose’s film, “a murderous soul with a hook for a hand who is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster’s myth.”
