‘Lake Placid: Legacy’ Art Floats Into the Jaws of Death [Exclusive]
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is biting into Lake Placid: Legacy, the sixth film in the giant crocodile franchise, on Digital HD and DVD September 4, 2018, Bloody Disgusting exclusively learned.
It’s the sixth installment of the wildly popular franchise, where a team of young explorers set out to reveal the secrets of an abandoned scientific facility.
“Taking place several years after the events of the original film, Legacy finds the team of young explorers out to reveal the secrets of an area removed from modern day maps and hidden behind electric fences. However, once they reach the center of the lake, they discover an island that harbors an abandoned facility with a horrific legacy: the island is home to a deadly predator eager to feast on those dumb enough to ignore the warnings.
But before they can turn back, our hapless heroes get dragged into a battle for their lives — and will need to work together if they hope to survive.”
Directed by Darrell Roodt (Dracula 3000), Lake Placid: Legacy stars Katherine Barrell (Wynonna Earp), Tim Rozon (Wynonna Earp), Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix), and Sai Bennett (Close to the Enemy).

‘In a Violent Nature’ Gets Official VHS Release With Standard Edition and Book Box Edition
While we wait for the sequel, the fan favorite slasher movie In a Violent Nature is back this week with a brand new VHS release from Broke Horror Fan and Witter Entertainment.
An official partnership with Shudder, In a Violent Nature is now available on limited edition fully functional VHS, with a Standard Edition and a special Book Box Edition.
Witter previews, “The 2024 Shudder Original slasher arrives on VHS with two variants: A standard slipcase with art by The Boland Design Company, and a book box edition with art by Gary Pullin + a gatefold cover and green VHS tape! Book boxes are limited to 200.”
Each tape includes exclusive introductions from director Chris Nash and cast. And a behind-the-scenes featurette is even included, which will play after the feature itself.
For optimal VHS viewing, the film is presented in its original 4:3 full frame aspect ratio.
